[b]Colombo 14 August, (Asiantribune.com):[/b] Visiting European Union Overseas Development spokesman Niranjan Deva Adithya, who is also Member of the European Parliament (MEP) said that the Post Tsunami Operational Management Structure (PTOMS) initiated by the government of Sri Lanka is an important tool to manage and monitor the tsunami reconstruction activities.

He said that Banda Acheh located in North Sumatra in Indonesia, is one of the greater devastated area which follows guidance of the recently established Super Agency of the Indonesian government, which manages and supervises all tsunami reconstruction activities.

The progress of the tsunami construction activities in Banda Acheh shows good progress. They are constructing houses, hospitals, roads, and other common infrastructures, said Nirj Deva.
