The Scandinavians have never
The Scandinavians have never been successful as facilitators anywhere in the world. Which qualifications and understanding have the Icelanders of the situation in Sri Lanka to facilitate peace. Their brethen and kin the Norwegians with their bias for LTTE have been spoiling the broth there for years. Is this an attempt by the Norwegians to re-enter the scene by stealth and to reinforce the LTTE? THE ICELANDER Helen Maria Olafsdottir of the SLMM have been openly critical of the Sri Lankan Government (was asked to leave S.L.) before and can one expect partiality from the "neo-Norwegians" (=Icelanders)? The Icelanders with their proximity to the USA and their american lifestyle and values are the Lackeys of the USA as well, just as the Norwegians are (the american lifestyle and values do not apply for them, but they are allegedly a political pawn of the USA).
Sure smell a rat, or should
Sure smell a rat, or should I say a salmon?
Appears the LTTE biased Norwegians are desperately trying to make a come back to throw yet another lifeline to the LTTE and this time via a Trojan Horse!
Thank you, but no thanks!

well, its not so correct to
well, its not so correct to cast the same label to Iceland as some ppl do to Norwgians. Norwegians openly did support terrorism in Sri Lanka, contrary to what some would argue, that is what happened!, one primary reason for failure of peacetalks was biased Norwegians who danced to LTTE drum beat...and it is no secret that ex-norwegian marines trained sea tigers who got caught red handed on a failed attempt on Colombo Harbour.
if LTTE lays down arms, i dont see why we should disagree for peace., but LTTE should laydown arms before talks begin, not after!
jay-ran Hellow ICELANDERS,
jay-ran
Hellow ICELANDERS, pl advice LTTE Terrorist group to disarm and then request for a discussion with GOSL.
Because GOSL has learned endless lessons by listening to LTTE's prior calls for PEACE NEGOTIATIONS,THEM RE-ARMING THEMSELVES, UNDER THE PRETEXT OF PEACE DISCUSSIONS GOING TO OSLO,NORWAY ETC and buying all sophisticated weoponary and re-arming again to start the war against GOSL.
Icelanders also can advice the expat Tamil Diaphora who are spending millions of Dollars on the war to utilise that money to DEVELOP THE NORTH and EAST, but all these foreign pundits have a HIDDEN AGENDA TO DIVIDE Sri Lanka into PIECES not CREATE PEACE.
