Another bomb blast inside Colombo Fort Railway station – 9 dead and motre than 100 injured

Colombo, 03 February, (Asiantribune.com): A second bomb blast reported inside the Colombo Fort railway station, targeting innocent civilians, today at 2.00 pm Sri Lanka time.

Initial reports revealed nine people were killed and around 100 wounded. Amongst those dead, eight were males and one a girl 12 years old

The victims were being evacuated to the Colombo National hospital.

Spokesperson of the Colombo National Hospital Dr. Anil Jayasinghe told "Asian Tribune" that some of the injured persons are in critical conditions and death toll may rise.

A report revealed according to an army spokesman that explosion was the work of a suicide bomber as the Army has recovered a bodiless head at the scene of the explosion.

In the meantime according to another report the explosion, believed to be caused by a parcel bomb.
