Abdullah visit to India not to eclipse Pak-Saudi ties: Pakistan

By Iqbal Hussain Khan Yousafzai – Reporting from Islamabad

Islamabad, 31 January, (Asiantribune.com): Pakistan says on Monday that the visit of King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia will in no way eclipse the warm and traditional relationship between Islamabad and Riyadh.

Talking to newsmen at a weekly briefing here on Monday, Pakistan Foreign Office spokesperson Tasneem Aslam said that the ties between the two brotherly countries are very strong, deep rooted and secure and no other country can have bad impact on these ties.

She said that all regional, bilateral and international issues including Iranian nuclear row will come under discussion during the visit of Saudi King of Islamabad. She said Pakistan opposes taking the Iranian nuclear issues to the UN Security Council and supports a peaceful negotiated settlement under the IAEA framework.
