The team led by Commander Marckan passed through Thonithandamadhu to reach the Muthur area for this planned attack. The Tigers were focusing on their attacks on TVMP camps. TVMP admitted loses in this attack. But the Tigers were totally unaware that the TVMP forces were on their way to attack them in Sampur.
