Germany calls for global aid to Tsunami hit countries, donates Euros 20 million

Despite a nation wide concern over 1000 missing in tsunami hit South and Southeast Asia, German Chancellor, Gerhard Schroeder, announced an immediate relief of Euros 20 million and called for a global campaign to come to the rescue of families devastated by Black Sunday. He also appealed to the Germans to donate whatever they could even small amounts and asked them to donate the money they had earmarked for New Year fireworks. “Even small sums are important and valuable”.
