Two main partners of the Sri Lanka’s coalition government started negotiations to prevent the collapse of the coalition over the proposed tsunami joint mechanism with the Tamil rebels. Talks at different levels are taking place to find a possible face saving formula acceptable to different parties, despite analysts’ prediction that there is hardly a meeting ground.
