Norwegian facilitators expect to defuse tension

Norwegian peace duo Vidar Helgesen and Erik Solheim are scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka later this week with high hopes of tackling key issue of military security for Tamil rebel cadre movements between the north and east. As President Chandrika Kumaratunga has instructed the security forces to provide adequate security for leaders of Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), there are speculations that the security issue could be solved during the talks later this week.
