Lakshman Kadiragamar, a quintessential public servant, eloquent speaker at international forums, patriot par excellence, legal luminary, and above all, one of the heroic warriors who fought to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Sri Lanka is no longer with us. His tragic death is an irreparable loss to the nation.

Anandasangharee next foreign minister?

Some of the Sri Lankan political parties started informal discussion on the possibility of making a unified appeal to make the Tamil United Liberation Front (TULF) leader V Anandasangharee the next foreign minister to succeed Lakshman Kadirgamar who was killed by the suspected Tamil rebels on Friday night. Both Kadirgamar and Anandasangharee belonged to the minority Tamil community.Post your comments
