Mahinda – The New President of Sri Lanka.

Victorious Mahinda Rajapakse in the presidential polling held on 17 November has assumed office as the new Executive President of Sri Lanka today. He took his oath as the 5th Executive President of Sri Lanka at 1:20 p.m. (0720 GMT) Saturday before Chief Justice Sarath N.de Silva at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo.
