Urgent priority is eliminating Tigers: Any distraction such as contempt of court a treasonable act

The first priority for Sri Lanka today is eliminating Tiger Terrorism, the second priority is eliminating Tiger terrorism and the third priority is eliminating Tiger terrorism. Dr. Chula Rajapakse writing from New Zealand to Asian Tribune pointed out, "Any action that imperils this is traitorous and treasonable. The effect of these "contempt of court" action is at the very least distracting resources from the said priority of the day and so unquestionably imperiling it's achievement."

NFF and UPFA signed a MOU to eliminate terrorism

The National Freedom Front and the united people's Freedom Alliance entered into a Memorandum of Understanding today. This MOU was signed in a response to the invitation recently extended to all progressives forces by President Mahinda Rajapaksa to unite with the Government to build the country at this decisive moment, and accordingly the National Freedom Front (NFF) decided to support the Government. Earlier, two rounds of discussions have been held in this connection between the UPFA and the NFF. According to the decision was made on 23 December was decided to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two parties on December 28 to commemorate 2009 as the "Victorious Year of War Heroes" and to work in cooperation with each other.
