Govt appoints Shah as new police chief, transfers incumbent chief Thakuri as security advisor to PM

The government has appointed Additional Inspector General Rabindra Pratap Shah as the new chief of Nepal Police, transferring the incumbent Police Chief Ramesh Chanda Thakuri as security advisor to Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal. The newly appointed Inspector General of Police assumed his office on Thursday.

India to grant assistance of SLR 203 million to train war affected women from East in skill and leadership

An Agreement for providing Technical Assistance and Implementation support for establishment of a Trade Facilitation Centre and a Community Learning Centre at Batticaloa, Sri Lanka was signed on 31 May, 2011 between Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India and Self Employed Women’s Association (SEWA), Ahemdabad.
