Manmohan Singh, Morsi hold talks, sign seven pacts

In a bid to deepen ties and strengthen economic bonds, India and Egypt on Tuesday signed seven key pacts including one on cyber security after Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi held bilateral talks in New Delhi.

Myanmar Government Religious Title for Ven. Walpola Piyananda

It gives me great honor to announce that the Government of Myanmar is bestowing a high religious title to my dear friend, mentor, and co-author Ven. Walpola Piyananda, Abbot of Dharma Vijaya Buddhist Vihara in Los Angeles. At a ceremony in Yangon, Myanmar, on March 26th he will be named an “Aggamaha Pandita,” a title given each year to four non-Burmese Buddhist clerics.
