Czech Republic – Sri Lanka Joint Communiqué

On the invitation of Martin Kuba, Minister of Industry & Trade of the Czech Republic, Minister of Economic Development of Sri Lanka Basil Rajapaksaa visited the Czech Republic from 27th – 31st March 2013. Minister of Environment and Renewable Energy of Sri Lanka, Susil Premajayantha, also took part in the visit.

Pakistan and Sri Lanka to hold 3rd Round of Bilateral Political Consultations During Foreign Secretary's Visit

The Foreign Secretary of Pakistan, Mr. Jalil Abbas Jilani, will be visiting Sri Lanka from 4-5 April 2013 to take part in the 3rd Round of Bilateral Political Consultations between Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The last round of talks occurred from 17-19 July 2007 in Islamabad.

Vasan wants CHOGM venue shifted from Colombo

The Union Shipping Minister and Congress Rajya Sabha member from Tamil Nadu, G.K. Vasan, on Tuesday met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and urged him to take up with other countries to shift the venue of Commonwealth Countries Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), due in November this year, from Colombo, in view of the “anti-Tamil attitude” of the Rajapaksa government.
