Indian Journalist Union Holds Photographic Exhibition On Sri Lanka In New Delhi

Sri Lanka's post-war policies fully capable of ending Tiger hegemony

The post-war policies now in vogue are fully capable of ending Tiger hegemony. The Tigers’ attempt to coerce the diverse ethnic conclaves in the North and East into a breakaway separatist movement crashed in 2009, much to the chagrin of Commissioner Pillay and her ilk. The country is in more wholesome terrain now—holding elections and letting folks engage in livelihoods they cherished best. Pillay was totally oblivious to Tigers’ anti-democratic stance but preached democracy –a tongue in cheek gobbledygook.
