Sri Lanka working Indonesia to open flour-doors wider

As Sri Lanka’s wheat flour supplies to Indonesia jumped, Indonesia said it was compelled to introduce safeguards to country’s domestic wheat flour industry-but the door is not closed after all. “Our domestic wheat flour industry has been seriously affected by foreign supplies over the recent years. We are aware of the importance of wheat flour industry in Sri Lanka and, therefore, consultations are continuing between the two governments to address this issue in a mutually satisfactory manner” said Bayu Krisnamurthy, Indonesian Vice Minister for Trade on 03 December in Bali.>

To tackle any disease it is not merely only diagnosing correctly and offering quality treatment but ensuring that the patients adhere to treatment that is of paramount importance. ‘Budgeting to zero in Indo–Lanka helps turn things in our favour!’ – Rishad in Parliament

Removal of ten items from the negative trade list is a positive outcome from ISFTA journey-and helps boom Indo-Lanka trade that already crossed $ 4 Bn mark. “As the Minister in charge of exports, I commend many measures to enhance our exports even with the difficult economic situation in the key developed markets.
