President and BIMSTEC Leaders Pledge to Strengthen Bilateral Relations

President Mahinda Rajapaksa held bilateral discussions with several leaders on the sidelines of the third BIMSTEC Summit in Myanmar. During these discussions leaders agreed to strengthen existing relations both within and outside the BIMSTEC framework in all areas where there is potential for cooperation.

Excavation in Mannar Mass Grave Site Stopped, on the Orders of Police Magistrate.

The excavation works at the Mass Grave site, Mannar have been stopped effective from Wednesday - 5th March, subsequent to the decision arrived at a discussion held yesterday near the Grave Site presided over by Mannar Magistrate Ms. Ananthi Kanagaratnam.
