Order under UNSC Resolution 1373 signed by Minister Peiris

An order, designating persons and entities in terms of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1373 which sets out strategies to combat terrorism and to control terrorist financing has been signed by Prof. G.L. Sri Lanka takes over the first Australian Custom Vessel 'Corio Bay' gifted by Australia

The Sri Lankan flag replaced the Australian Border Protection Command flag on board the Australian Custom vessel ‘Corio Bay’ amidst the playing of the two National Anthems to symbolize the handing over of the above vessel to the Sri Lanka Navy on the 30th March 2014 at the Port of Cairns in a simple ceremony.

Authentic Sri Lankan Cuisines in Mumbai

The Sri Lanka Consulate General in Mumbai in collaboration with Hotel Trident, Mumbai and Hotel Mount Lavinia, of Sri Lanka organized a Sri Lankan Food Festival from 7th -14th March 2014 at the Frangipani restaurant, Hotel Trident, Mumbai with the objective of promoting tourism between India and Sri Lanka under the theme “Destination Promotion”. The Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau and Sri Lankan Airlines approved this endeavour with their sponsorship for this event.
