When will Israel’s Insanity Ends?

A sadly familiar scene over the past two weeks here in occupied Palestine:10 Palestinians (including a 7 and 15 year old) and three Israeli settlers (16 – 19 year old) were killed. Dozens of Palestinian homes were demolished in the past two weeks. Over 570 more Palestinians were kidnapped in these two weeks making more than 6000 abductees languishing in Israeli - million native Palestinians still await their freedom from colonial occupation and displacement. And Israeli leaders are promising to “do more” (genocidal mayhem?). But the question remains when will this insanity end?

Blimey! Modi Misses ‘Honeymoon’

The ‘acche din’ harbinger, Narendra Modi, has lamented that the pleasure of a ‘honeymoon’ has been unjustly denied to him since he occupied the prime ministerial office and heralded a government that is ‘decisive’, ‘transparent’ and morally upright. He does not state it, but obviously it is the sporadic critical bit in the media that he blames for his misfortune because the political opposition is still recovering from the licking he gave them in the Lok Sabha polls to be able to bite him.

Is it Asthma or COPD?

Both asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) are chronic diseases involving airflow obstruction and are consequences of gene environment interaction. COPD includes progressive respiratory diseases like emphysema and chronic bronchitis and is characterized by decreased airflow over time and increased inflammation. While airway obstruction in asthma is reversible, airflow limitation in COPD is usually not reversible, although one third of COPD patients do respond to bronchodilators agents and show good reversibility.
