U.S. Delegation Launch Talks To Expand Trade, Investment In Maldives

October 20, 2014: Michael Delaney, Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for South Asia, and H.E. Mohamed Saeed, Minister of Economic Development, launched the first meeting of the Joint Council of the Maldives-U.S. Trade and Investment Framework Agreement (TIFA) today.

The inaugural Joint Council of the Maldives-U.S. Trade and Investment Framework Agreement (TIFA) meeting discussed procedures for more robust engagement on topics such as labor, intellectual property, and the investment climate.
