Sri Lanka pledges support for South-South Initiatives

The Deputy Minister of External Affairs, Neomal Perera, participating in expression of solidarity with the Landlocked Developing Countries in South Asia and other regions, at the 2nd UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC) held in Vienna, stressed that as a country committed to the principle of non-alignment, "Sri Lanka pursues an approach, which emphasizes enmity towards none and friendship towards all."

Vigneswaran in Chennai

The Northern Province Chief Minister C.V.Vigneswaran Arrived in Chennai yesterday. It is the first foreign visit to Vigneswaran after his appointment as the Chief Minister of the Northern Province in September 2013.

Veteran actor S Ve Shekher honored

Noted Tamil film and stage actor S Ve Shekher was honored in Bay Area for his service to the film and stage by Prof. George L Hart, distinguished professor of Tamil at the University of California, Berkeley. He presented the title "Nataka Ulaga Nayagan" (King of drama) to the veteran actor. The event was organized by Geekay, a Cupertino-based theater group and Maniram.
