Strong Case for Nautical Tourism in Sri Lanka

Marinas are the infrastructure of the yachting and boat building industry and are essential for yachts and nautical tourism in Sri Lanka. This was stated by Simon J. Arrol, Managing Director of both Arrol Ltd and Marina Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, when making a strong case for the essential infrastructure to support nautical tourism.

Holy Mass held in Bethlehem to bless President Rajapaksa

A Holy Mass organized by friends of Sri Lanka in Bethlehem in collaboration with the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Israel and the Representative Office of Sri Lanka in the State of Palestine was held on 22nd November at the Church of Nativity in Bethlehem where Jesus Christ was born to bless President Mahinda Rajapaksa on the occasion of his 69th birthday.

Russia approves import of fish and fish products from Sri Lanka

As a result of the untiring efforts of the Government of Sri Lanka through the Embassy of Sri Lanka in the Russian Federation, the Federal Service of Veterinary Surveillance under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation has granted approval on 12th November 2014 to import fish and fish products to the Russian Federation from Sri Lanka. Initially, 14 Sri Lankan fish exporting companies who had sought to export their products to the Russian Federation have been included in the register of enterprises and individuals allowed to export into the territory of the Russian Federation and would benefit from this approval.
