Freedom of Information Act, laudable and timely

The decision to enact a Freedom of Information Act is a laudable and constructive step. FOIA is an invaluable asset for the media and the public as all governments by nature abhor too much probing. A good start must be made when FOIA comes into effect or else, there would be a flood of frivolous requests that may suffocate the system.
