Singapore would continue to cooperate with Sri Lanka at international forums- Foreign Minister K. Shanmugam

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Law of Singapore K. Shanmugam praised the new Sri Lankan government’s efforts for development and reconciliation. Stating this when he called on President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat today (February 24) he said that Singapore would continue to cooperate with Sri Lanka at international forums. Amid public protests, the Modi government introduces Land Acquisition Bill crippling farmer rights

Veteran social activist Anna Hazare launched on February 23 his protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi against the ordinance on Land Acquisition Bill, even as the budget session of Indian Parliament began with President Pranab Mukherjee's address to members of both the houses of Parliament. The budget session contains 44 items of financial, legislative and non-legislative business, including Land Acquisition Bill which the government is eager to pass with the support from Congress party.

The Netherlands will host the fourth Global Conference on CyberSpace (GCCS 2015) on 16-17 April 2015 in the World Forum in The Hague.

Government officials will meet with representatives of the private sector and civil society to promote practical cooperation in cyberspace, enhance the building of cyber capacity, agree on norms for responsible and acceptable behaviour online, and explore ways to protect freedom and privacy in cyberspace.
