Sri Lanka's Douglas Perera recognized during US Asian Heritage Month

In this month of May declared every year by the United States as the Asian Pacific Heritage Month recognizing the contribution of Asian and Pacific Islanders to their adopted nation as well as to their nations of birth, the Nevada State Democratic Party is giving a fitting tribute to an Asian American - a Sri Lankan by birth who has selflessly worked toward the understanding and strengthening of ties between the two nations - Douglas Perera.

Indian PM Modi's visit: China says boundary issue can't be resolved quickly!

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Beijing on 14 May on the second leg of his three-day China visit during which he will hold talks with his Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang on May 15 Friday at the Great Hall of the People and they are expected to discuss the boundary issue on issues of mutual interests including the boundary issue and the trade imbalance.

Modi, who arrived on 14th (May)  morning in Xi'an, the hometown of President Xi Jingping, held "very substantive" discussions with him.
