Navy Arrested 24 Indian Fishermen Poaching Sri Lankan Waters

Sri Lanka Navy assisted the Sri Lanka Coast Guard to arrest twenty-four Indian fishermen along with four Indian fishing trawlers poaching in Sri Lankan waters at the distances between 3 to 6 nautical miles from Thalai-mannar on 12th October 2015.

Appoint a panel of retired judges to inquire and release the Fasting Tamil Prisoners - Anandasangaree

V. Anandasangaree, Secretary General of the Tamil United Liberation Front in an appeal to Sri Lankan President Maithripala Srisena to appoint a panel of retired judges both male and female and form a few panels to inquire each cases of the Pathetic Plight of Fasting Prisoners and to release them accordingly.
