Lankan dhal refiner of humble start now a globally certified firm with Swiss tech

A one man owned dhal refining mill that has a humble beginning way back in 1970 has now become the biggest player in Sri Lanka’s pulses market operating world’s largest lentil refining machinery in the country-and the one time small venture, now partnered by an Australian firm, has also clinched the country’s first SLS 896 and ISO 22000 certifications on 18 October.

Tribute to K. Gunaratnam - The Last King of EDB

It was deeply saddened news to hear the passing away of Mr. K. Gunaratnam, erstwhile Chairman of EDB on the 14th of October, 2015. At this moment of grief, it is the duty as an ex- EDB official to pen this note of appreciation on this great son of Sri Lanka.

Reopen investigations of the killings of Amirthalingham, Laxman Kadirgamar and another two TULF MPs - Anandasangaree urges

V.Anandasangaree, Secretary General-TULF has urged Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe to urgently consider to take up the cases of the assassination of the former Members of Parliament A.Thangathurai, Kingsley Rajanayagam and Laxman Kathirgamar and also that of A.Amirthalingham.

 I personally feel that this is the best time to investigate the assassination of  the former leader of  the opposition Hon. A. Amirthalingam which is long overdue.
