Science Conference A 'Circus'

Nobel laureate Venkatraman Ramakrishnan thinks that the annual Indian Science Congress (founded in 1904) is nothing but a ‘circus’ where back-scratching talks defy the purpose of a gathering of over 1000 scientists. Those who express their anger at ‘manufactured’ anger of writers and decry the tribe of ‘pressitutes’ might have brought in a tinge of ‘morality’ by adding that the ‘circus’ overflowed with booze and free food.
