Betting To Save Indian Cricket Image!

A three-member panel that was appointed by the Supreme Court last summer and headed by R.M. Lodha, former chief justice, has made many important suggestions to revamp the much maligned BCCI, the Board of Control for Cricket in India. One of these suggestions is interesting but may prove to be controversial. It is about legalizing betting in cricket matches played in India. The idea behind it is laudatory--an attempt to rid cricket the curse of match-fixing.
