Even before former Jammu Kashmir CM and Congress emissary for talks with DMK in Tamil Nadu, BJP has been in touch with Modi's “friends” in Tamil Nadu like Jayalalithaa and Rajinikanth in order to shore up the Hindutva chances for assembly poll tie-ups but without any success, so far. But BJP, like Congress party is not one that gives up hopes and continues to target its goal net.

Significant evidence that the flavored tobacco products sales ban successful in New York City

A study conducted by Dr. Shannon M. Farley, New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Bureau of Chronic Disease Prevention and Tobacco Control, reveals that flavoured tobacco product sales and odds of ever using flavoured tobacco products or using any tobacco products among teens have declined significantly after ban enforcement began.

The UN Determination Relating to Julian Assange and Some Pertinent Lessons for Sri Lanka

The UN working group on arbitrary detention has determined that Mr Julian Assange, who has been holed up in the Equadoran Embassy in London as a political refugee for almost four years, was being subject to arbitrary detention by the United Kingdom. The working group said, in addition, that he should be entitled to compensation for being deprived of his freedom of movement. Countries, such as the UK, which assume the elevated role of white hatted human rights enforcers, could have been expected to take this determination seriously
