MDMK founder Vaiko on April 06 accused DMK leader M K Stalin and his son-in-law of trying to split Vijayakanth’s DMDK and as a result the ‘Captain’ faced a revolt in his party for his decision to align with an alliance of PWF of small parties and the Left. Vijayakanth was wooed by both DMK and BJP but he eventually decided to make a common political platform with Vaiko’s MDMK led PWF to fight the assembly elections and fight against liquor and corruption.

‘Lanka-Pak FTA boosted trade’-Rishad

The Lanka-Pakistan FTA boosted trade between both countries-and Lankan investors are bullish on investing in Pakistan, according to Sri Lanka’s Commerce Minister Rishad Bathiudeen.
