Dilshan Aloka Sri Wijegunasekera, a prominent Sri Lankan journalist, has just mounted another level of success in his life as he has been given the appointment as the Publicity Ambassador for the Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL), a Seoul-based international peace organisation in association with the United Nations Department of Public Information (UNDPI).

As the latest Tamil political news pouring in, there is a clear indication that Vaiko led PWF is making headway in poll alliance strategy. PWF’ chief ministerial candidate actor turned politician DMDK leader Vijayakanth has begun the election campaign on April 11 in a mammoth public meeting in which Vaiko, Vasan and other leaders of the alliance also will participate to declare their joint program.

DMDK chief Vijayakant on Monday began his election campaign launching a tirade against both the AIADMK and DMK describing the May 16 election as a "war against the Dravidian majors".
