Google Bashing: a synonym for a global boomerang?

Hardly a week goes by without some form of news, branding Google, the search giant, as a law breaker, especially in non-English speaking Europe. The catalog of accusations that range from killing privacy to monopolizing search, seem to be giving Google bashers a free passage to moral high ground with a brief stop-over at short-lived stardom. In the long run, however, this intensely-fashionable pursuit may horribly backfire, while leaving billions of regular users in a very damaging lurch.
