Vesak lights up the sky in Havana

The “Festival of Lanterns and Illuminations” organized by the Sri Lankan Embassy in Havana on the occasion of Vesak was held from 20th – 30th May 2016 at the Sri Lankan Embassy premises in Havana for the 4th consecutive year.

Pakistan’s First-ever Wesak Festival concludes successfully

The first-ever Wesak Festival organized by the Government of Pakistan was successfully concluded with the return of delegation to Colombo last evening. The Sri Lankan delegation which was invited by the Government of Pakistan to visit the Gandhara region. During their stay in Pakistan the delegation visited Taxila and Takht-i-Bhai besides visiting Islamabad and Karachi from May 29th to June 1st 2016.

U.S. Prime Concern: Only to protect itself from terrorism
