India: Tamil Nadu Assembly wants to rename Madras High Court after state!

Name changes have been going allover India ever since India got independence from Great Britain, trying best to Indian towns, streets, statues; among other historically important details look pure Indian and entirely regional looking.

The Assembly unanimously passed the resolution moved by Chief Minister Jayalalithaa on Monday.

STC breaks Rs. 3000 Mn sales barrier, launches Sri Lanka’s first nano-tech lubricant

Partnering with a leading Korean lubricant maker, Sri Lanka’s official supply giant to the state sector has launched the first ever nano-tech powered automotive coolant for Sri Lankan lubricant market on 1 August-and despite stiff competition from the private sector, State Trading Corporation is now reporting a whopping sales figure of Rs 3000 Mn!

No magic wand with priyanka

It is a tragedy that while disenchantment with the leadership of Narendra Modi seems to be growing even before he is half-way through his five-year term no leader or party in the opposition appears to be in a position to rattle him. The main opposition party with an ‘all-India’ reach, the Indian National Congress, looks almost as weak as it was two years ago, thanks largely to its inept leadership.

Award of scholarships by the Ceylon Estate Workers’ Education Trust

Applications are invited from the children of estate workers, who are resident on estates, for award of scholarships by the Ceylon Estate Workers’ Education Trust (CEWET). These scholarships are available for G.C.E. Advanced Level, Undergraduate courses and for students undergoing Vocational/ Technical education in any other Government Technical Colleges in Sri Lanka.
