Ill Chief Ministers - Sick Administration

The Tamil Nadu chief minister, J. Jayalalithaa, has been in hospital since September 22. Initially there was little or no official word about her condition, leading to all sorts of rumors. Then the High Court dismissed a PIL about her condition. But it did lead to the admission by the Chennai hospital where she was admitted that she was on ‘respiratory support’, not on ‘ventilation’ as the rumor mills had declared. It has since become clear that she will not be discharged for many days from hospital.
