After Privacy Judgement Modi Govt Must Heed Court Warning

The unanimous judgement of a full Constitutional Bench of the Supreme Court that held privacy as a fundamental right contains a warning that the government will ignore at its own peril. The attempt to alter the pluralistic character of Indian society must be given up and individuals do not have to be forced to adopt a way of life mandated by the government.

Anaragika Dharmapala: A True Visionary

Buddhism in the 21st century is indebted to the visionary work of Anagarika Dharmapala. Visiting the temple at Bodh Gaya and the Sri Maha Bodhi tree in India he was appalled by the sorry state of those holy sites and he dedicated his life’s work to the preservation of the places where the Buddha lived and taught.

America Tamil Sangam honors Jayanthi

America Tamil Sangam headquartered in New York has recently conferred noted Chennai based Bharatanatyam dancer Jayanthi Srivatsan the title of Naatya Tharagai (dancing star) for her contribution to the South Indian dance form.
