The Ministry of National Integration and Reconciliation with the support of the Youth Leaders’ Forum organized a Peace Reconciliation and Human Rights walk on 10th December 2017 and this date is globally identified as an international Human Rights day.

Navy arrests 23 Indian fishermen for poaching in Sri Lankan territorial waters

Sri Lanka Navy confirms that a Fast Attack Craft attached to the Northern Naval Command has arrested 23 Indian fishermen along with 05 trawlers for engaging in illegal fishing in the Sri Lankan territorial waters north and northwest of Delft Island last night (11 December).
