An Extraordinary Meeting of the Executive Committee of Sri Lanka Pakistan Friendship, Trade and Investment Association (SLPFTIA) was held on April 26, 2018 at the High Commission of Pakistan, Colombo. The Meeting was attended by the outgoing Executive Committee of SLPFTIA and the past Presidents/Secretary Generals of the Association.

A 55 year old male, suffering from Type 2 diabetes for the last 12 years, presented with pain, swelling and dark necrotic patches over his right leg. He gave a history of minor trauma to the leg about two weeks before admission to this hospital (Aster Medcity, Kochi), for which he was being treated earlier in another hospital. He developed fever with chills, increasing infection of the right leg, and was then transferred to our institute for onward management.

Is Nepal Heading For Political Instability Again..?

Merger of two political parties is not an easy proposition anywhere, more so in Nepal, where personalities, and ideologies matter. Though Communism is their basic core philosophy, the Maoist Centre, MC, and the Communist Party of Nepal -Unified Marxist Leninist (CPN -UML), the two parties that have come together as the Left Alliance to run the Himalayan country, have divergence in their moorings and approach to a host of issues.
