$300 million assistance pledged by Saudi Arabia

At a time, we read about the US president’s discontinuance of his country’s aids to many countries including US’s close allies, the very recent one being the long standing military aid the US gave for Pakistan for $300 million, annually.

Veteran writer Seyed Hamid Mowlana hosted a special sumptuous dinner to our Ambassador Azmi Thassim and me at his palatial residence in Sulaimaniya on Saturday ! It was a seafood spread which gave a Sri Lankan touch and taste! Thanks Mowlana, your son Waqar and his family members

What the Kashmiris exactly want?

Eminent Indian writer and journalist Late Mr. Kuldip Nayar commenting on the issue of Kashmir wrote, “The Kashmiris’ protest, more or less peaceful, is Islamic in tone and tenor. But it seems as if it is a way of expression, not the content. The content is that the Kashmiris want a country of their own.”
