The Maldives: Stop crackdown on dissent; Create a conducive environment for election

The Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development (FORUM-ASIA) has expressed its grave concern over the ongoing crackdown on dissent and political opponents in the Maldives, ahead of the presidential election on 23 September 2018. FORUM-ASIA calls on the Maldivian authorities to enable a conducive environment for the free and fair election.

Millennium Challenge Corporation Official In Sri Lanka to Continue Progress on Compact

A delegation from the U.S. Government’s Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), led by Chief Operating Officer Jonathan Nash, visited Sri Lanka this week to continue progress on the proposed MCC compact – a large-scale five-year grant program. MCC is developing the compact in partnership with the Government of Sri Lanka to promote inclusive economic growth that will benefit Sri Lankans.

Minister Sagala Ratnayaka - Official Visit to the United States
