[b]Colombo, 14 January, (Asiantribune.com): [/b]Despite building tensions between LTTE and security forces, the Sri Lanka Army has no plans of initiating a dialogue with the Tamil Tiger rebels to bring down the escalating hostility.

Army Spokesman Brigadier Prasad Samarasinghe confirmed that the Army had no intentions of meeting with the LTTE. "Army has no plans of talking to the LTTE even at a local level. All discussions will be done only at higher level," he said.

Meanwhile, at least 57 Army personnel have been killed and another 102 injured during the past six weeks. The LTTE has violated the Ceasefire Agreement over 105 times during the last six weeks. All incidents have been reported to the Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission.
