Colombo, 26 December, (Asiantribune.com): V.Anandasangaree the leader of the Tamil United Liberation Front in a strongly worded statement condemned the brutal slaughter of Joseph Pararajasingham, a Tamil National Alliance Member of Parliament, inside a holy sanctum of a church on 25 December in Batticaloa. "I very strongly condemn the brutal killing of Joseph Pararajasingam, Member of parliament, a founder member and the senior Vice- President of the TULF"

He lamented that a new culture that is developing is killing people in places of worship, which should be strongly condemned.

He rightly pointed out that other than the creator, no one is empowered to take another person's life, whatever justifiable reasons one may have. "It is very unfortunate that there is no respect or value for human life. Whether the victim is a king or an ordinary person, what is lost is a valuable human life," TULF Leader castigated in his statement.

Anandasangaree in his statement emphasized, "Although there is difference of opinion between us, the mutual love and affection between me and his family continued with utmost regard for each other." He added, "The special quality of Joe's family is the hospitality they show in treating their friends and constituents."
