Trichy, 02 September, (Asiantribune.com): Bobby, the former Jaffna region commander of the Tamil Eelam Liberation Organization (TELO) is back in action and now recruiting Tamil youths in the refugee camps in Tamil Nadu for an active para-military force.

According to reports Bobby, along with Das, Prabu and Sudar were visiting Sri Lankan refugee camps in Tamil Nadu at regular intervals and are presently involved in recruiting teenage Tamil youths in the refugee camps for training.

Many inmates in the refugee camps confirmed that the foursome visited their camps and told them that, at present LTTE is working under them and TELO intend to set up a military force to fight a war against Sri Lanka soon to set up a separate homeland for the Tamils.

There are nearly 50,674 Sri Lankan Tamil refugees in 108 camps in Tamil Nadu. These are refugees who escaped from ethnic strife between 1983 and 1996.

It was the same Bobby while he was in Jaffna as the Commander of TELO was responsible for the abduction and killing of the former Tamil United Liberation Front Members of Parliament V.Dharmalingam and M. Alalasundaram on 2 September 1984.

In 1986 TELO as a rebel organization was banned in Sri Lanka by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, after its leader Sri Sabaratnam was killed by the LTTE. Bobby managed to flee to India and was in the hiding.

After the killing of Sri Sabaratnam on 06 May 1986, by Sathasivam Krishnakumar alias Kittu, the Jaffna regional Commander of the LTTE, Selvam Adaikalanathan took over the leadership of TELO and was in Sri Lanka during the time when the Indian Peace Keeping Forces were in the country.
