Bombing of St. Peters Roman Catholic Church by SLAF

:cry: [b]The 10th anniversary of the Bombing of St. Peters Roman Catholic Church by the Sri Lankan Air Force on [b]July 09th 1995[/b] was remembered
by the Tamils living world over. [b]247[/b] people including [b]97 children[/b] lost their lives when the Sri Lankan Air Force repeatedly bombarded the church. These people were displaced and took refuge in the church because of the Sri Lankan army shelling.
The Amnesty International condemned this act of the Sri Lankan Govt. as barberic. The Bishop of Jaffna condemned this
act of the Sri Lanka Air Force and stated that the UN resolution clearly state that Hospitals and place of worships should not be targeted during war times[/b].
