[b]Islamabad, 04 March, (Asiantribune.com):[/b] US President George W. Bush has arrived in Islamabad on Friday on a two-day official visit to Pakistan for crucial talks with Pakistani leadership on important regional and international issues and the global war against terrorism.

Bush arrived aboard Air Force One at a Chaklala Air Base in Islamabad from India, and he and First Lady Lara Bush were received by Pakistani Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmoud Kasuri and his wife.

Formal welcome ceremony will be held at Aiwan-e-Sadr (Presidency) (today) on Saturday.

Foreign Minister Kasuri told media that president Bush's visit would further deepen the relations between Pakistan and the United States. He said the visit is of great significance in view of the important developments taking place in the region. Earlier, addressing Indian Parliamentarians in New Delhi he called on Pakistan and India to settle their decades old dispute over Kashmir.
