[b]The Ceasefire Agreement helped Tigers to consolidate their positions and not the Tamils - V.Anandasangaree[/b]

[b]Colombo, 18 February, (Asiantribune.com):[/b] The Ceasefire Agreement has put the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) in an advantageous position and it had helped the Tamil rebel outfit to stabilize themselves more in areas under their control and to gradually take control of the areas under the control of the Government as well, pointed out V.Anandasangaree.

He further said: "The four years of Ceasefire provided ample opportunities for them to do this, resulting in the Government losing grip of its own areas."
,br> V.Anandasangaree, the leader of the Tamil United Liberation Front has issued a statement as a guideline for the participants at the Geneva talks and for the International Community to take note that after all the CFA is not indispensable and not at all beneficial to the country and to its people.

The Tamils and Muslims of the North and East are the worst affected by the Ceasefire Agreement and the innumerable violations by the LTTE. It had helped the LTTE to stabilize themselves more in areas under their control and to gradually take control of the areas under the control of the Government as well. The four years of Ceasefire provided ample opportunities for them to do this, resulting in the Government losing grip of its own areas.
