Christmas celebrations in Pakistan

By Iqbal Hussain Khan Yousafzai – Reporting from Islamabad

Islamabad, 25 December, (Asiantribune.com): Christmas is being celebrated in Pakistan as elsewhere in the world with great enthusiasm and zeal to mark the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ.

Merry making, exchanging gifts, fun, lighting, music and sharing traditional dishes will mark this holy day.

The Santa Claus, combined with an amazing shopping phenomenon have made gift giving a central focus of the Christmas tradition.

The Christian community in the country will review their commitments to follow the teachings of the Holy Christ in letter and spirit.

Special ceremonies and masses would be held in all churches across the country with prayers for peace and stability in the country.

The Christian community has already announced to celebrate the occasion in a simple but impressive manner in view of the tragic earthquake of October 8.
