Mr. Sarath Wijesinghe, a practicing lawyer from London has sent in his clarifications to the news report appeared in the Asian Tribune, on 03 October under the title 'Lanka government-backed secret group in London'.

It is difficult to describe whether his statement was a request or a demand. He wrote, “Respecting our right to reply please publish this article on your website without delay.

Below is the response to the news report appeared in the Asian Tribune, by Sarath Wijesinghe:

The news item carried in today's (03 October 2005) edition of the “Asian Tribune using the above caption clearly denotes the existence of a well organized dis-information campaign to tarnish the good standing of law abiding ordinary people as well as the nation of Sri Lanka.”

I am surprised that you (the Asian Tribune) did not care to check the facts before going to print, as it contains numerous inaccuracies. I will try and clarify some of the issues. “

Firstly: I am not a Representative of the Sri Lankan Government, let alone be a Special Representative!
