Bus bomb South of Sri Lanka kills 15

Colombo, 06 January, (Asiantribune.com): At least 15 civilians were killed today afternoon when a suicide bomber blew her self up inside a crowded bus South of Sri Lanka.

The incident occurred at about 2.40 p.m. when a Colombo-Matara private bus exploded on the Hikkaduwa - Ambalangoda Galle road killing at least 15 and injuring more than 20, Ambalangoda police said.

The injured has been rushed to the Karapitiya hospital.

This is the second bus bomb within two days, yesterday evening's blast on the Colombo – Kandy road killed six including a child and injured several tens.

Yesterday's incident occurred at around 6.30 p.m. also on a private bus which was traveling from Nittambuwa towards Giriulla.
